Amy Moorea Wong is a colour authority and interior design writer who has specialised in all things decorating for over a decade.

A respected contemporary interior design writer, Amy is Livingetc magazine’s Colour Expert, Interiors Editor at The Glossary magazine and a Contributing Editor at Homes & Gardens magazine, and she frequently shares her insights on interior design zeitgeist via an array of global publications. Her former roles include Features Editor at ELLE Decoration UK and News Editor at Livingetc magazine.

As an interior design colour expert, Amy works with clients to re-imagine the hues in their spaces, her beautifully considered palettes punctuated with pops of surprise and excitement for a playful, dynamic and contemporary feel.

Amy’s contemporary interior design book Kaleidoscope: Modern Homes in Every Colour explores a collection of cool colourful homes fizzing with creativity, surprises and inspiration, and has been featured in publications such as ELLE Decoration UK, Livingetc, House & Garden, Red, Homes & Gardens, You and Better Homes & Gardens.

Amy also collaborates with interiors brands on product designs, recently working with lighting company Heathfield&Co on the Dusk table lamp collection, which is defined by a carefully selected edit of dream-like, hazy colours in unexpected combinations. Her palette for British cushion brand Mode Abode demonstrates her light, playful approach to colour, with the Amy Moorea Wong x Mode Abode collection featuring unexpected dusky and dramatic hues for balance as well as boldness.

She passionately believes in the power of the home to ignite happiness, and that colour – whether on walls, ceilings, shelves, or sofas – shouldn't be intimidating, but embraced as a source of joy. Her love for deftly deployed primary colours plus pops of pinks and natural materials in her home is something she is continually experimenting with.
